Boston Celtics’ Gordon Hayward Games in New England #ForTheKids
There’s so many diverse people who love to game, not just the famous names from Twitch and Esports teams. For example, look at Boston Celtics’ player, Gordon Hayward. Although he’s beloved for his skills on the court, he also loves to play video games.
Hayward has joined forces with Extra Life and Boston Children’s Hospital to play games and heal kids in the Boston area. Last week, Hayward and his wife Robyn found time in their busy schedule to visit with kids at Boston Children’s Hospital and play video games with them. His Instagram post on social media amplified this inspiring visit to his 1.4 million followers as well.

Boston’s Extra Life Community in the News
Hayward’s visit caught the attention of local press outlets including the Boston Herald, but he’s not Boston’s only person in the news for Extra Life. We’re constantly blown away by all the ways Extra Life’s Boston community supports local kids and Boston 25 News recently covered these inspirational activations. Check out the video from Boston 25 News to see Boston’s Extra Life community in action!
Like many other Extra Lifers, Hayward knows that streaming his Game Day efforts online will maximize his fundraising capacity. He’s already set up his Extra Life page here, setting an ambitious fundraising goal of $10,000 USD. If you love Gordon Hayward and the Celtics, why not join his team or donate to his efforts today?
