CroomsCon Donates $10,000 For The Kids

At the end of May, students of Crooms Academy of Information Technology stopped by Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children to celebrate a very special milestone – their highest fundraising year ever for their local Children’s Miracle Network hospital.

During their annual video gaming event, CroomsCon (formerly known as LANfest), students from all over Seminole County gather at Crooms Academy on the first day of Spring Break to compete in gaming tournaments, win raffle prizes, and enjoy free food – all as a fundraiser for Orlando Health Arnold Palmer. This year, due to the hard work and dedication of students and faculty who host the event, they raised a record breaking $10,300!

A very special thank you goes to Clayton Donnan and Sara Smith, the faculty sponsors of this annual charity video gaming event, for their tireless work to ensure a successful event each and every year. If you are interested in supporting, sponsoring or participating in the 2019 event, visit the CroomsCon website here.
