Extra Life Game Day 2018 surpasses $8.8 Million Raised
On November 3 we kicked off our annual gaming marathon to play games and help heal kids. It’s our 10th fundraising year, and we’re so grateful to have surpassed $50 million raised for children’s hospitals since our inception in 2008.
Ten years ago, a grassroots movement began to remember a little girl from Orange, Texas who lost her battle with cancer.
Today, Game Day 2018 could not begin without remembering Victoria Enmon and celebrating what a community 50,000 strong has done in 10 yrs for @CMNHospitals. pic.twitter.com/aPMqn0YpHG

Game Day unites the gaming community and inspires Extra Lifers from across the globe to do what they love: play games. The charitable component comes in when gamers ask their friends, family, and community to support their efforts and donate — those funds then support their selected Children’s Miracle Network Hospital. And come in, they did. Extra Lifers raised more than $2.3 million on Game Day alone and at the end of Extra Life’s 25-hour marathon, more than $8.8 million had been raised YTD.
It is a sincere privilege to tell you good night, good morning and good freaking job on $2,329,166 raised during Game Day — bringing our total year to date to more than $8.8 million. Thank you so very much! pic.twitter.com/zAgn8Clj6Y

Just because Game Day is over, doesn’t mean that donations can’t be given and collected until the end of the year: support Extra Life by registering or donating at extra-life.org.
