Leveling Up for the Kids at Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital!

Today, our kids at Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital (HDVCH) are finding themselves in isolation more than ever.  To pass the time, they are playing games like Candy Land, Uno, and Skip-Bo.  Due to COVID-19, we have had high restrictions on donated items. But, our Extra Life teams have been able to use funding raised in 2019, to purchase additional games for patients to enjoy!

Last year, one of our Extra Life teams, LevelUpForCharity, hosted a 24-hr game day. This event raised enough money to purchase a new gaming Go-Kart for HDVCH! The Go-Kart arrived this week, what perfect timing! And, not only did we receive one gaming Go-Kart, but we were surprised when a second was donated by another one of our amazing gamers!

More than ever before, our kids are relying on donations raised to help provide items that are not covered by insurance, like gaming Go-Karts.  If you are interested in getting involved in our Extra Life program, please visit this website, and select HDVCH as the hospital you would like to play for.
