Seattle CMN Hospitals Program Director Recipient of Victoria Enmon Award

#ChildrensHospitalsWeek is all about celebrating the life-saving work of children’s hospitals. During the evening of celebration on Thursday, March 23, Extra Life presented the Victoria Enmon Award to a CMN Hospitals program director who embodies the spirit of Victoria.

Victoria’s battle against acute lymphoblastic leukemia inspired the Extra Life movement. Gamers from all over the world sent in video games and bought gifts to keep Tori’s spirits up despite numerous hospital stays and three bouts with the deadly disease.

Extra’s Life success is because of the CMN Hospitals program directors who work tirelessly with guilds to recruit and grow Extra Life efforts in their hospital market area. This year’s Victoria Enmon award is presented to Betsy Rand, from Seattle Children’s Hospital.

Betsy attended multiple events throughout the year, including PAX West, where she helped the guild recruit over 1,200 Extra Lifers in one weekend. Betsy has worked with her hospitals social media team to increase social awareness around Extra Life, always has a great outlook and makes the program better as a whole.
