In-person Event Award – Dave Chobanoff

This award acknowledges the individual or team who organized or took part in a local event that excelled in fundraising. The victorious event will have drawn significant attendance and/or raised substantial funds. We’re happy to present the award to Dave Chobanoff who organizes the Putting For Miracles event! After being inspired by a charity golf tournament benefitting Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals during Children’s Hospitals Week in 2022, Dave and his team got to work on organizing their first event. During their first event, Putting for Charity attracted over 60 participants and 30 sponsors, with 20 of the 36 holes sponsored. This event alone raised over $5,000! Fast forward to May 2023, and the event brought over 20 vendors, 4 food trucks, over 100 participants, all 36 holes were sponsored, and all the participants were given custom t-shirts. The 2023 event brought in over $10,000 to Penn State Children’s Hospital!
