Join us for Extra Life Game Day- November 2, 2019!

Since 2008, Gamers involved in Extra Life have been playing games and healing kids treated at Dayton Children’s Hospital.  Last year alone, 140 Extra Lifers playing for Dayton Children’s raised more than $25,000.

The money raised from Extra Life helps the hospital provide the equipment and technology needed to treat the more than 350,000 kids who come through our doors each year. We are proud to provide world-class care to every patient and with that many kids being treated, it is vital that we have funding for new and updated equipment each year. Thanks to the gamers throughout Dayton, families in our region know that they will receive quality care close to home any time they trust us with their children.

On November 2, Extra Life, a Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals fundraising program, is hosting their annual Game Day broadcast and we want to share how YOU can get involved:

  • Register to Play games, Heal kids at extra-life.org/register and select Dayton Children’s Hospital.
  • Pledge to play games and ask your friends and family to donate.
  • You can play whatever game(s) you like for however long you want on whatever console, platform or place.
  • Not a gamer but still want to help? Donate to a participant’s page or share about the event on your social media channels.

Find all the resources and best practices you need to make your Extra Life experience the best. When you pledge to play games, heal kids, you’re helping kids like Gabe who was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia at age 7. He underwent intensive chemotherapy for nine months, followed by low-dose to complete a total of three years of treatment at Dayton Children’s. Today, Gabe is in remission and considered cured. Other than a check-up with his oncologist, Dr. Dole here at Dayton Children’s every four to six months, he is living the life of a normal teenage boy and competes on the wrestling team for his high school!
