Skillz raises over $28,000 #ForTheKids!

Skillz and Extra Life teamed up over the weekend of May 9-10, 2020 to raise funds for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals COVID-10 Impact Fund. Skillz donated 100% of its proceeds from Extra Life branded mobile game tournaments to the Children’s Hospitals COVID-19 Impact Fund. This fund ensures that 170 Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals across North America have the resources they need to care for the most vulnerable kids during the coronavirus pandemic.

By simply logging on, joining the “G4G COVID Impact Fund” and choosing from a wide selection of free games, many people were able to contribute to the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals COVID-19 Impact Fund. Participants became eligible to win a Skillz-branded fidget spinner by entering 5 times.

Thank you all the generous participants who helped us exceed our fundraising goal, raising a for a total of $26,666 in May #ForTheKids. Skillz and Extra Life previously joined together in April for the Extra Life United: Online Edition. This tournament involved inviting players from around the world to compete with Extra Life’s network of celebrity streamers in Skillz mobile esports tournaments. Through these collaborations, the fund now totals $28,070.50 raised for Extra Life! We are so grateful Skillz and their mobile gaming community!
