Wow! It’s hard to believe that we’re just a couple of days away from Extra Life Game Day 2021! Our gamers are incredible, and we’re grateful for the support.

Every penny our gamers have raised to date, and the nickels, dimes, and dollars they’ll raise this weekend make it possible for the hospital to buy the life-saving therapies, highly specialized medical equipment, research, advanced training for staff, and a few extras to make the hospital stay a little brighter for kids.

I think our child life specialist, Amy, says it best. “A child’s job is to play.” Our doctors and nurses do all they can to help our patients feel better. Because of gamers, we’re giving kids the gift of growing up. How cool is that?!?! If you’re registered, keep on fundraising because you are helping us buy the isolette that transports babies born critically ill or too soon to EMMC for specialized care; you’re helping us buy Legos and arts and crafts kits to help provide a fun distraction; iPads and laptops to help with remote learning so kids don’t get behind; and sleeper chairs to make the stay a little more comfortable for moms and dads.
