Mindcrack takes Extra Life United: Online Edition to the next level
Our friends at the Mindcrack Network have been huge supporters of Extra Life for years now. Every year they dedicate dozens of streamers and content creators to the task of raising money for sick kids across the United States and Canada. It comes as no surprise that the folks at Mindcrack truly shined during Extra Life United: Online Edition!
The Mindcrack Network held two fundraising streams of Minecraft in Ultra Hardcore with the goal of raising $25,000 USD for Extra Life. They kicked so much butt that they surpassed that goal with just the first stream. They doubled their goal raising nearly $50,000 USD! If you missed the stream, check it out here:
We especially want to honor OMGChad for going the extra mile for Extra Life. He finished his stream on Thursday then immediately hopped onto our ExtraLife4Kids Twitch stream to close out our three day stream. His arrival in the last hour of the Extra Life United tournament stream hyped the audience and helped to push the fundraising total over $350,000 USD! Not just anyone could pull a long fundraising stream shift only to leap into serving as an effective hype man four a gaming tournament. OMGChad, you’re incredible. Thank you so much!
The Mindcrack team did an incredible job, raising more than 10x the total of any other Extra Life United participants! This is the kind of dedication that led to Extra Life honoring Mindcrack for surpassing its lifetime fundraising total to over $1 million USD. With the energy they have shown since then, both during Extra Life United and beyond, we look forward to when they cross the $2 million USD mark.
Mindcrack has a yearly event, Mindcrack Marathon, that people need to check out. The marathon is a 48-hour livestreamed by the members of the Mindcrack Network. This year’s event has been scheduled for October 24th. Show up and cheer them on as they raise money for kids and create some of the best gaming content around!
Don’t forget to sign up for Extra Life to help sick and injured kids in hospitals around the US and Canada by playing games!
